இஸ்லாம் ஓர் எளிய அறிமுகம் - நுால் வெளியீடு
அனைவருக்கும் வணக்கம்.
இந்த நுால் வெளியீட்டு விழாவில் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்குமாறு நண்பர் திரு காதர் அழைத்த போது சற்று தயங்கினேன். ஆனால் இது சிங்கப்பூரின் சமய நல்லிணக்கத்திற்கு என் பங்கை ஆற்றுவதற்குக் கிடைத்த அரிய வாய்ப்பு என்று உணர்ந்த போது மகிழ்ந்தேன்.
இருந்தாலும் ஒரு கல்லூரியின் துறைத் தலைவாகப் பணியாற்றி வரும் ஒரு கல்விமானை, 26 நுால்களை எழுதி வெளியிட்டிருக்கும் ஒரு பண்பட்ட எழுத்தாளரை, இரண்டே நுால்களைத் தந்திருக்கும் நான் எப்படி வாழ்த்துவது என்ற தயக்கம் எனக்குள் இன்னும் இருப்பது நிதர்சனமான உண்மை.
எனினும் வாய்ப்புக்கு நன்றி கூறி என் மனத்தில் பட்ட சில கருத்துக்களை உங்களோடு பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறேன்.
செப்டம்பர் 11, 2001
கண்மூடித் தனமான தீவிரவாதத்தால் உலக வரலாறு ஒரு கணம் இருட்டடிப்பு செய்யப்பட்ட நாள். அன்றைய தினம் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோரின் உயிர் பிரிந்தது. உலகம் பாதுகாப்பானது என்ற எண்ணம் தகர்ந்தது. மதங்களுக்கு இடையிலான அவநம்பிக்கை புதிய உச்சத்தை நோக்கி நகர்ந்தது.
அதே ஆண்டு ஜூன் மாதம்தான், மேகங்களை நலம் விசாரிக்கும் அளவுக்கு உயர்ந்து நின்ற அந்த பிரம்மாண்டமான இரட்டை கோபுரங்களை நான் நியூ யார்க் நகரில் பார்த்து வியந்தேன். அதன் உச்சியில் ஏறி நின்று ஒரு கணம் மூச்சு விட முடியாமல் மலைத்தேன்.
அங்கிருந்து கீழே பார்த்தால் மனோதிடம் நிறைந்தவர்களுக்கு கூட ஒரு கணம் மயக்கம் ஏற்படும். ஏனெனில் கீழே மனிதர்களும் வாகனங்களும் நகர்வது எறும்புகள் ஊறுவது போல இருக்கும்.
அந்தப் பொறியியல் அதிசயத்தின் உச்சியில் நின்று குளிர்ந்த காற்றை சுவாசித்த போது நான் அமைதியில் ஊமையானேன். அடுத்த நான்கே மாதங்களில் அது அடுக்கி வைத்த சீட்டுக் கட்டு போல் சரிந்து மண்ணோடு மண்ணானதைத் தொலைக்காட்சியில் பார்த்த போது அதிர்ச்சியில் ஊமையானேன்.
அன்று என் முழங்கால்களில் ஏற்பட்ட நடுக்கத்தை இன்றும் என்னால் மறக்க முடியவில்லை. ஏனெனில் எனது 45 ஆண்டு கால குறுகிய வாழ்க்கையில் அது போன்ற ஒரு தீவிரவாதத்தை அதற்கு முன் நான் கண்கூடாகக் கண்டதில்லை.
கோடிக்கணக்கான டன் கான்கிரீட் ஊற்றப்பட்டு, நிலநடுக்கம் போன்ற இயற்கைப் பேரிடர்களையும் தாங்கக் கூடியது என்ற முத்திரையோடு இருமாந்திருந்த அந்த இரட்டைக் கோபுரங்களை ஒரு செயற்கைப் பேரிடரால் தகர்த்து விட முடியும் என்று உலகம் எதிர்பார்த்திருக்க நியாயமில்லைதான்.
அப்படிப்பட்ட அஸ்திவாரத்தையே ஆட்டங்காணச் செய்யும் அளவுக்கு ஒரு படுபாதகச் செயலை செய்ய ஒரு சிலரால் முதலில் சிந்திக்க முடிந்து பின்னர் செயல்படுத்த முடிந்திருக்கிறதென்றால், அவர்களிடம் எவ்வளவு பகைமை உணர்வும், பழிவாங்கும் உணர்வும் இருந்திருக்கும் என்று நாம் நினைத்துப் பார்க்க வேண்டும். அவர்களின் சிந்தனைக்குப் பின்னால் ஒளிந்திருக்கும் சித்தாந்தங்களையும் நாம் அலசிப் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.
வேறு எந்தக் காரணத்திற்காகவும் அந்தத் தீவிரவாதத் தாக்குதல் நடந்திருந்தால் உலகம் அதனை ஒட்டுமொத்தமாகக் கண்டித்திருக்கும். மூடத்தனமாக, மூர்க்கத்தனமான அந்தச் செயலுக்கு வித்திட்டவர்களை வன்மையாகத் தண்டித்திருக்கும்.
ஆனால் அந்தத் தாக்குதல் மதப் போர்வையில் நடத்தப்பட்டதுதான் துரதிஷ்டவசமான ஒன்று. எந்த மதம் பகைமை உணர்வை ஊட்டி வளர்க்கச் சொல்லும்? பழி வாங்கும் உணர்வைக் கிளர்ந்தெழச் செய்யும்? அல்லது உயிர்களைக் கொல்வதை நியாயப்படுத்தச் சொல்லும்?
கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவன் வழி தவறிப் போனால் அதில் ஆச்சரியமில்லை. அவனுக்கு வழிகாட்டுதல் இல்லை என்று ஒதுக்கித் தள்ளி விடலாம். ஆனால் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை உள்ள சிலர் வழிதவறிப் போன கதைதான் அந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதக் கதை. அதை எப்படி ஒதுக்கிக் தள்ளுவது?
உண்மையில் எல்லா மதங்களும் அன்பைத்தான் போதிக்கின்றன என்ற நிறைவோடும், அதனால் பிற மதங்களைப் பற்றித் தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை என்ற தெளிவோடும் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருந்த என்னைப் போன்றோரைத் தட்டியெழுப்பி உட்கார வைத்ததில் அந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதக் கதைக்குப் பெரும் பங்கு உண்டு.
அன்பைப் போதிக்கும் ஒரு மதத்தின் பெயரைச் சொல்லிக் கொண்டு ஏன் ஒரு சிலர் அழிவை விதைத்தனர் என்று நான் சிந்தித்த போது ஒன்று மட்டும் எனக்குத் தெளிவாகத் தெரிந்தது.
அந்தக் கேள்விக்கு விடை தர வேண்டியது வரலாறு அல்ல. ஏனெனில் நடந்த சம்பவங்களை அவரவர்களுக்குச் சாதகமான வழியில் திரித்து எழுதி வைப்பதுதான் வரலாற்று உலகில் உள்ள ஒரு குறைபாடு.
எனவே அந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதக் கதையை நியாயப்படுத்த வரலாற்றைத் துணைக்கழைப்பது என்னைப் பொருத்த வரை, ஒரு கொலைக் குற்றவாளி நீதிமன்றத்தில் நின்று கொண்டு எனக்கு நிறைய கொடுமைகள் இழைக்கப்பட்டன அதனால் நான் கொலை செய்தேன் என்று சொல்லுவதற்குச் சமம்.
சரி வரலாறு விடை தரா விட்டால் வேறு எது விடை தரும் என்பதிலும் எனக்குத் தெளிவு இருந்தது. மதப்போர்வையில் ஒருவன் வேதனைக்கு வித்திட்டால் அதற்கு அவன் நம்பும் வேத நுாலில்தான் நாம் விடையைத் தேட வேண்டும்.
ஆனால் பிற மதத்தைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள் வேறு மதத்தின் வேத நுாலைப் படித்து புரிந்து கொள்வது என்பது அவ்வளவு சுலபமான காரியமாக இருக்காது. அதற்கு விடை – கேள்வி பதில் பாணியில் எழுதப்பட்ட இது போன்ற ஓர் அரிய நுால். 2001ம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகு நான் தேடிய போது இது போன்ற ஓர் அரிய நுால் என் கையில் கிட்டவில்லை. எட்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு நண்பர் காதரின் மூலம் என் கதவைத் தட்டியது.
இந்த நுாலை இன்னும் படித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். இதில் என்னைக் கவர்ந்த இரண்டு விஷயங்களைச் சொல்ல விரும்புகிறேன்.
முதலாவது தன்னுரையில், 14ம் பக்கத்தில் நுாலாசிரியர் கூறியிருக்கும் இந்தக் கருத்து. இந்தப் புத்தகம் முஸ்லிம்களுக்காக மட்டும் எழுதப்பட்டதல்ல என்பதாலும், இன்னும் சொல்லப் போனால் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை கொண்ட அனைவரையுமே மனத்தில் கொண்டு எழுதப்பட்ட புத்தகம் என்பதாலும், உண்மைகளைச் சொல்வதே பிரதான நோக்கம், பக்தியைப் பரப்புவதல்ல.
பிற மதத்தவர்கள் இந்த நுாலை தைரியமாகப் படித்துப் பயன் பெற நுாலாசிரியரின் அந்த உத்தரவாதம் நிச்சயம் உதவும்.
இரண்டாவது, இந்தப் புத்தகத்தில் நான் நேரடியாகத் தேடிச் சென்ற கேள்வி Jihad என்பது என்ன?
உயிர்களைக் கொல்வது எப்படி புனிதப் போராக இருக்க முடியும் என்ற கேள்வி என்னை எப்போதுமே உறுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தது. அந்த உறுத்தலுக்கு உன்னதமான பதிலைத் தந்திருக்கிறார் நுாலாசிரியர் 59ம் பக்கத்தில்.
முஸ்லிம்கள் முஸ்லிம் அல்லாதவர்களோடு சண்டையிட்டு அவர்களைக் கொல்வது, தீவிரவாதம், வன்முறை போன்றவற்றைத்தான் Jihad என்று அறியாதவர்கள் நினைத்துக் கொண்டும் சொல்லிக் கொண்டும் இருக்கிறார்கள். உண்மையில் அந்தச் சொல்லின் பொருள் கடுமைாக முயற்சித்தல், பிரயாசைப்படுதல் போன்றவைதான் என்று ஆசிரியர் கூறுகிறார்.
என்னைப் போன்றோருக்கு இது நம்பிக்கையைத் தருகிறது. அந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதக் கதையின் கதாநாயகர்கள் ஒரு புனிதமான மதத்தைக் களங்கப் படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள் என்ற சந்தேகத்தை உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.
ஒரு வேளை இந்த நுாலை அவர்கள் வாசித்திருந்தால் அந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதக் கதை ஒரு கற்பனைக் கதையாகவே இருந்திருக்கலாம்.
கண்மூடித்தனமான தீவிரவாதத்தை மண்மூடிப் போகச் செய்யும் மந்திரமும் மூடத்தனமான பயங்கரவாதத்தை புறமுதுகிட்டோடச் செய்யும் தந்திரமும் இது மாதிரியான நுால்களுக்கு உண்டு.
ஒரு நுாறு நுால்கள் செய்யக்கூடிய காரியத்தை இந்த ஒரே நுால் செய்திருக்கிறது என்பதால் இதற்கு நுாற்றுக்கு நுாறு தரலாம் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.
இந்த நுால் எனது சிறிய நுாலகத்தில் நிரந்தமாக நிறைந்திருக்கும் என்று சொல்லிக் கொண்டு, நுாலாசிரியர் டாக்டர் நாகூர் ரூமிக்கு எனது மரியாதையையும் வாழ்த்துக்களையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டு விடைபெறுகிறேன்.
